About Me

WHY I LOVE TO WRITE

I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and impressed by the influence it has on people and the decisions they make in life. I love engaging with the projects I work on, diving headfirst into the research, investigation, and production of stories I feel are worth writing about. I am a curious and proactive author, interested in preserving the foundations set by classical literature by adapting them to modern themes and trends.

My Bio

I was born and raised in California, and in early 2007 moved to Reno, Nevada.

For what I refer to as my bill-paying job, I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and have been since early 1989. I have been working as a home care nurse, mostly Pediatric, since 2004 and have been in my current position since moving to Reno.

When not working as an LPN, I love to write and, over the years I had completed several fanfictions or original stories, which I didn't think of publishing at the time. However, I now have several published works. At the moment I have one large series - The Many Lives of Brandi series - and each book in this series is a stand-alone novel or novella. The books out in the main series are: Surprises, Second Chances, A Heart Recognized- book 1 in the sub-series The Texas Saga, and For the Love of St. Nick. All are available in e-book and paperback formats. To provide a history behind any of the books in the Many Lives of Brandi series, I completed Brandi’s Diary – titled: A Life Less Ordinary - The Diary of Brandi Nicole Stewart - this Diary is a freebie on Prolific Works. Back in June of 2016, I was lucky enough to be invited to write for one of the series in the now-closed Kindle World. The novellas I wrote for that Kindle World series are The Girl and the Fireman series. They have been revised from their original versions and are now a companion series to my Many Lives of Brandi series – giving Brandi’s younger brother Joshua his own stories/series. In sequential order, the novellas in The Girl and the Fireman series are: New Beginnings, Holiday Surprises, Masquerade Gone Awry, and Simmering Illusions and they all are now available in both e-book and paperback formats. I also have put the revised novellas into one book and it is simply titled The Girl and the Fireman Series. It is also now available in e-book and paperback.

Added to those individual stories I’ve published, I have contributed, will be contributing, to several anthologies. The one still available that was published in 2018 is the Building Love Anthology to help Ronald McDonald House, Westmead, Australia, which released Dec 1, 2018 – book title: Snow Unexpected. For 2019: With Love from London - Voyages of the Heart Vol 1 which released February 14, 2019 – book title: Love Found; With Love from New Orleans - Voyages of the Heart Volume 2 which released May 30th, 2019 – book title: Love Celebrated; Falling Back with You – a long-distance/second chance love anthology which releases September 21st, 2019 – book title: Love Can Find a Way; Holiday Hearts Christmas anthology which releases December 2019 – book title: Holiday Fun. I will also be in a few for 2020. The first to be Red Riding Hood – Down the Rabbit Hole anthology which releases February 20th, 2019 – book titled: Falling for the Hood. Any others I am in for 2020 are still in planning stages.

I am also working on what will be a boxed set that is old west stories I have previously written but never published. It is to be titled: John and Brandi the Early Years.

In between anthologies this year, I am adding on to two stories that are now out of anthologies - Love in 8 Seconds and The Aftermath - while keeping them as novellas. I also have several works in progress, all with Brandi though some will feature new characters – including at least a couple fantasy ones (I plan on one of those fantasy ones being a many book series), and at least one sci-fi (both with Brandi and new characters), while others will have previously seen characters.

Otherwise, I enjoy writing, reading, spending time with my cats, and playing an online vampire game. I also love visiting Virginia City, NV or Lake Tahoe.
